Continue the Walk

(we) owe a great deal to the gentle, enlightened genius of David Attenborough who taught us and is still teaching us that creatures big and small, that walk and crawl, swim and fly, that hoot and cry, chatter and call, in field and hall, on plain and on arm, each and every one, has its place, has its charm. We learn, we stand in silence, admiring what so many pass on by. I personally, before even Attenborough, owe this too to my father. Dr Chan Ah Kow. Without him I would be a lesser man, so much less enlightened, so much less passionate. We walk in the footsteps of our teachers. And we must continue the walk.
